This is me and a friend of mine's son taken on NYE - I haven't been hiding from my journal -- I've just been busy as all get out. Plus a bit of a break from the intarwebs over the holidays is always a good thing. So where have I been over the holidays, you ask?
The holidays started with Baltimore with my soon to be in-laws for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. From there it was a quick trip home to celebrate Christmas with my mom. The day after Christmas was spent catching up with old friends who now live in MA and a long time internet friend who I finally got to meet. The day after was spent hosting a party for friends who were in town. Monday was spent at the Nutcracker and shopping with girlfriends, Tuesday was a "day off" that involved trips to Goodwill, lots of shopping and pizza and a movie with my sweetie. Wednesday was the day we did the tasting for our potential wedding site -- we loved the food and the chef and as a result -- we booked our wedding! 7/24 is the big day. Now to find a photographer and music. Thursday was New Years Eve which included a party at a friend's and then dinner with my sweetie. January 1 was a completely lazy day, January 2 was a bunch of errand running and Sunday was church and getting ready for the week...
It was a great holiday but I am ready to be back to the grind. I have been running ragged and I need a routine. I started today with Phase 1 of South Beach - and other than an intense chocolate craving, I'm doing ok. I hit spinning today and did upper body lifting. Tomorrow is cardio and swimming. It feels good to be back in the saddle - even if my saddle muscles HURT!
