How the bloody hell did it get to be December 16? How did we get to single digits until Christmas? Seriously -- where did this year go?
I haven't been hiding from my blog, I've just been busy! In the last 10 days or so we've...
- Attended a 1st birthday party
- Attended a baptism
- Went to the holiday light celebration at Longwood Gardens
- Went to see or drive by 3 potential reception locations
- Went to Atlantic City to celebrate my sweetie's birthday -- I won $87 -- he won $.95!
- Had dinner with multiple friends
- Went to the holiday open houses at the local wineries
- Finished my Christmas shopping
- Wrapped all of my Christmas presents
- 1/2 decorated my house for the holiday
- Made 8 different kinds of cookies - with more to come!
I'm pretty sure there is more in there as well - I have just felt SO BUSY! It's all fun stuff but I am beat and my laundry/ironing pile is embarrassingly big. So tonight I will tackle that. I'm also going to go join the YMCA after work so I can start swimming and going to spinning class. The goal is to either swim or spin 6 days a week. I have no idea if I will make this and I may throw in some other cardio just to balance it out but I am going wedding dress shopping at the end of January and I'd like to be at least 10 pounds lighter by then.
Mostly I have just been thinking of the last year. 2008 was a FABULOUS year. When everyone was saying "I'll be so glad when this year is over" - I kept thinking "this was the best year of my life!". 2009 has been different -- no running off to Utah for a month and no touring around Germany for a month -- but I have had a really great year that, I hope, will be the beginning of many more to come.
